Yeah, yeah, yeah Corporate testosterone areas should come with a health warning. What I think we are missing here is the fact that each individual has the right to chose their path, just like joining a religious cult (coprorations take note) or club. In the case of the City, its reputation precedes itself so suck the devils cock by all means and pay the price. I don't buy the 'poor me' bullying and its effects in an insipid vacuous environment where inane gossip at the photocopier are actually competitive sports.
I'm switching all over the place now, sorry, which brings me onto the 'meedja'. As long as the media celebrates and accommodates aggressive head-to-head behaviour (the apprentice) and retarded social exclusion gameshows, where more often than not the nastiest, most devious cunning person wins then how are we supposed to improve our society. As long as this crap is fed to us then we will simply burn out continuing to reflect this behaviour in a futile race to bottom. In order to change the way the city operates then it may want to consider a cerebral overhaul. Corporations don't want people with individual thoughts! These people are dangerous. Just look at the skills being taught to our kids for future job markets- narrow, convergent, limiting, linear (much like an Excel spreadsheet) lacking any form of creativity, Analytical questioning, a skill that we should all posess has been taking a backseat. Whilst not all schools are treating this government education law ENFORCEMENT at face value, it does fill me with dread what corporate employers are asking for and controlling in hand with the government.
So, think on. Ask questions and choose life and not the city.

I'm confused? Are you saying it is fine to harass people emotionally, but not physically?
